I've really been enjoying my last few days left at home before I go on the road for the rest of my life. I had the day off yesterday and recorded a cover song for fun. Take a LISTEN if you have a free second and be sure to friend me! So besides having to do taxes I'm scrambling around to see friends before I leave. Give me a ring if you want to get some gelato. yum.

If you could love me as a wife
and for my wedding gift, your life
Should that be all Id ever need
or is there more Im looking for
and should I read between the lines
and look for blessings in disguise
To make me handsome, rich, and wise
Is that really what you want
I am a whore I do confess
But I put you on just like a wedding dress
and I run down the aisle
and I run down the aisle
Im a prodigal with no way home
but I put you on just like a ring of gold
and I run down the aisle to you
So could you love this bastard child
Though I dont trust you to provide
With one hand in a pot of gold
and with the other in your side
I am so easily satisfied
by the call of lovers so less wild
That I would take a little cash
Over your very flesh and blood
Because money cannot buy
a husbands jealous eye
When you have knowingly deceived his wife
-derek webb
Seriously, one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists in the world. I've been seriously struggling with the whole idea of blind faith and how to reconcile the fact that I really can't find satisfactory answers to all of my questions about the Bible and nature of God. But however, where I feel the temptation to just give in and continue having a half hearted faith I'm trying to persist and find truth to the best of my intellectual capacity.

your light will shine when all else fades.
I took a walk today while my car was being fixed. It was unusually warm out and made me wish it was summer. I remember before I had my first summer job I would have my mom drop me off in the middle of town at 9am and pick me up at 9pm. I would walk up and down the main road all day, going into random stores I had never been in, or have lunch and see a movie. Just enjoying spending time by myself for an extended period of time is something I haven't done in probobly 5 years. It was nice to remember what it felt like to have that simple fascination in slowing down for a second and enjoying a simple thing like walking in no specific direction to no specific destination.... then I preceeded to walk back to where my car was being worked on and grossly overpaid the nice man there and went grocery shopping... So, those 45 minutes were a really nice break in my day and I hope I can do it more often.

well..
I'm pretty excited about this,
I've never been great with being poetic or charismatic with my words, but regardless it's great to be able to share my thoughts with anyone interested in reading them. So... I'm basically a music nerd of the highest level.. I would not be able to function very well without it. I play guitar in a band called life in your way as my main source of non-income, but have recently been recording some solo stuff which I'm pretty excited about called the frozen ocean. I had the idea of writing songs based solely on dreams, both the musical landscape of the song and the lyrical themes. I really love beautiful, ambient music and this is my attempt to create something beautiful that you can get lost inside of.
